BAKING NOTE

Privacy & your recipes

Last updated: October 11, 2026.

Recipes stay in your browser

Calculations run on your device. The current recipe, recipe collection, and weighing checks use this browser’s local storage. They are not uploaded to a recipe database and do not sync across browsers or devices.

“Reset current recipe” clears the working draft. Delete saved recipes individually in the collection. To remove all site data, use your browser’s site-data settings. Clearing browser data or using private browsing can remove recipes; keep a downloaded text copy when needed.

Sharing, copying, and downloads

A share link encodes the current recipe and settings in the URL fragment (the part after #). Anyone who receives the complete link can read that recipe. The fragment is not sent in the normal HTTP request to our hosting server, but the full link may be stored by your browser or the messaging service you use. Shared links do not include your saved collection or weighing checklist.

Copy buttons write recipe text or the share link to your clipboard after you click them. Downloads and printed copies are managed by your browser and device. Remove copies from shared devices when necessary.

Hosting and connection information

Amazon Web Services delivers the site. Requests necessarily include connection information such as your IP address, requested URL path, and browser headers. AWS may process service and security records to deliver and protect the site. Recipe ingredient values in local storage are not included in ordinary page requests.

Advertising and analytics

This release does not load advertising scripts or third-party analytics. We will update this notice if those services are introduced.
